Blow drying

There
are a lot of different views regarding the sense of this particular point of
grooming. Some may think it is nonsense but we are convinced that blow drying is
part of sensible care. The reasons for this are:
With
a blow dryer-
one should use a special blow dryer made for dogs. A regular blow dryer is
absolutely not appropriate; the airstream is just too weak to dry the underfur
and the temperature is too high in most cases, which is harmful to the fur-
you
can blow dust and dirt (e.G. after a long walk) out of the dog’s fur. After
taking a bath it is absolutely no problem to get the dog dry again and the dog
has the comfortable sensation of the fur being fluffed and aired. At the same
time you can control the condition of your pet’s skin.

How
to use a blow dryer
For irregular blow drying (e.G. blowing out dirt and dust in dry fur), the dryer is held about 30cm away from the dog- against the flow of fur. After a bath, the dryer is held about 20 cm away and goes with the flow of fur- to get most of the water out of it. Then the dryer is held about 40 cm away, directly pointed at the fur and by simultaneously using a brush the fur is dried.

If you never tried that, you should give it a shot- your dog will appreciate it!
